Here’s a visual post of what I’ve been up to. My first time being in front of the camera as opposed to my proper place: behind it. :)

Awake! Shake dreams from your hair, my pretty child, my sweet one! Choose the day and choose the sign of your day, the day’s divinity, first thing you see — a vast radiant beach and a cool, jeweled moon… Words dissemble, words be quick, words resemble walking sticks. Plant them and they’ll grow, watch them waver so… good morning, Thea! Pardon moi for this early balderdash…
I received this message from my piano teacher earlier this morning. His name is John Villaneuva and he is an “artist.” Bohemian. He draws portraits of sleeping people. When a person is asleep, he cannot be a criminal. Sleeping is the most human form a person can take. He was sitting across from me, at the piano, as he said these words. And I glanced up at him, finding it hard to break the illusion I fell under as I sorted through his drawing pad. Ballpoint pens are his preferred medium in expressing the way he views the world. I am endlessly fascinated with him. In fact, he transcribed my piano solo: Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, right in front of me. His own rendition. I am so overwhelmed and amazed and grateful that this man came into my life.

LITTLE GOATIES AHHHH
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So cute! It’s like they’re wearing little pointe shoes ^_^

I have been here for seventy-eight days now. It really hasn’t been that long, but it seems as though the life I lived in the states was just a dream. This is my life now. Days spent at the beach watching the sun set in the most peaceful manner possible is one of my favorite pastimes. Hours spent in front of a microphone - either emcee’ing for an event, recording a podcast, or greeting my fans - it’s part of my life now. I am currently in the process of training for Miss University: a prestigious pageant that every college in Laoag will be participating in. I believe that I have what it takes to win, especially because of all the support that I am given from those who believe that I will win them that title.
I never I knew I had this kind of power to feel so alive; to want to try everything; to not be afraid to take risks. I am only now just aware of the dynamic being that I am, aware of the wings that I never had the courage to spread.
Well,… I’m soaring now.
